County Councillors Gordon and Jonathan Wheeler have used their Local community fund to help purchase a defribilator for St Paul's Church on Boundary Road.

Along with funding from the West Bridgford Rotary Club, the £500 donation has helped purchase the equipment, which could save a life if someone suffers a heart attack nearby.

'The purchase of this defribulator was a fantastic idea, and I am delighted that we were able to help make the idea a reality. I would like to thank the Rotary Club and the church for their incredible efforts, and although I hope it is never needed to be used, I am glad it is in place should the unfortunate happen.'
